Join the team

With apprenticeship and trainee schemes available to all regardless of your age, our programmes are designed to give you the best start in your role.

We recruit apprentice and trainee vacancies in a number of roles across the business, whether these are site based roles in discplines such as site or project management, quantity surveying and design management. It takes a number of offsite roles to keep our construction work going, and a number of our apprentices are also working in roles not always associated with the construction industry such as HR, marketing, finance, procurement and business development. We recognise and value the benefit of identifying and growing our future pipeline of talent through apprenticeships which combine the theory with essential practical learning.

It’s important to remember that apprenticeship and trainee programmes are not just for those leaving school. There are also opportunities for those who are looking to progress in their career through higher level apprenticeships starting from level four through to degree apprenticeships.

You’ll be a Morgan Sindall Construction apprenticeship ambassador

Construction is not often seen as a career choice, however the industry needs to recruit new people to fulfil future roles and developments in the industry. When you join Morgan Sindall Construction, you’ll work with the team as an ambassador for apprenticeship and training opportunities in the Construction industry. This may include, representing Morgan Sindall Construction at careers events in schools and colleges, or through partnerships with charities or recruitment programmes. This is a great way to put your presentation skills into action and develop confidence.

How we support our apprentices and trainees

As part of the Morgan Sindall Construction apprentice and trainee scheme you will gain first class on-the-job experience in your role fully supported by line management and the wider network of skilled colleagues in the business. You will also have access to a range of technical and key skills training applicable to your discipline and formal personal development at the right time to suit your development and aspirations. You will attend college either one day a week or as part of a block-release depending on the qualification you are studying.

You will be allocated contacts within the business to support you, such as a technical specialist and a mentor, as well as the support of those working in your business unit as part of the apprenticeship recruitment team. The team will be able to support you in your apprenticeship by ensuring the learning objectives of your qualification are covered in your day to day role.

Our apprentices and trainees have documented their time at Morgan Sindall Construction, and you can view all the videos here!
