Morgan Sindall Construction has opened a new office in Chelmsford following strong performance across the Eastern counties.

The company has been a key contractor operating across the region with vast experience working collaboratively with public and private sector companies to deliver outstanding projects that enrich local communities.

A strong pipeline of key projects and ongoing expansion across the region has prompted Morgan Sindall Construction to launch its Essex office, which will sit within its East region alongside offices in Ipswich, Norwich and Cambridge, and cover projects within Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex.

The company has appointed Chris Travers as Area Director to head up the new office. Chris has over 20 years’ experience working across the region and is passionate about creating effective partnerships to deliver optimum outcomes.

Based in Eastwood House, the newly refurbished office will provide up to date facilities and a professional working environment that aligns with the company visions and values and has been fully equipped to enable safe social distancing.

Chris Travers, said: “I’m extremely pleased and proud to be leading Morgan Sindall Construction’s team in Essex and overseeing the launch of our new office in the region. We’ve got an outstanding team in place here and this is a key region for our business and one where we have significant experience working closely with our supply chain and our public and private sector clients to deliver brilliant projects where people want to live, learn, work, and play.
Delivering impactful social value is a core focus for our business, and particularly during these challenging times, we’re committed to ensuring that the value of the projects we are delivering stretches beyond individual building users to create wider regional economic growth. Our aim is to touch and enrich the lives of our communities – creating jobs, upskilling the next generation, and driving positive change.
It’s a hugely exciting development for the business, and we look forward to continuing to work as a valued partner to our public and private sector clients to create innovative procurement methods, and add value at all stages of development - working collaboratively and innovatively to minimise risk and create quality outcomes.”

Morgan Sindall Construction is on site working on a number of significant schemes across the region, including actively delivering projects under key frameworks, including Essex County Council’s new Essex Construction Framework 2.

Morgan Sindall Construction has also retained its positioned on both the Suffolk and Norfolk construction frameworks, as well as the University of East Anglia’s Contractor Framework.

The company’s growing presence across the East has enabled the company to deliver significant social value investment in the region.
